Where do I begin my gushing about Lauren & Travis and their amazing wedding at 4 Eagle Ranch outside of Vail Colorado? Do I start with how awesome they were to work with? How much fun & love they infused into their wedding day? How beautiful the surroundings were? How much I love to photograph mountain weddings? How amazing 4 Eagle Ranch is? How cool it is that I got to go road biking with the incredible Lauren, just days after her wedding? Oh, there are just so many aspects I love about Lauren & Travis and the chic cowboy/cowgirl affair they created!
I knew instantly when I met up with Lauren & Travis for their engagement session, that they would be a blast to work with. We tromped through the snow, loved on the dogs and laughed our way along the trail. Their wedding day was the same, full of light hearted fun, friendship and beautiful scenery.
Lauren and Travis put together an amazing ranch wedding with the perfect personal touches – from cowboy boots to table decorations that represented all of their favorite places for biking, skiing, hiking & exploring. Their ceremony was filled with heartfelt touches that involved family & friends. A dear family friend lead introductions and another officiated the marriage. Lauren’s brother Brian was “maid of honor” and he held his own with her other bridesmaids that are all phenomenal athletes & downhill skiers who grew up racing on Vail mountain. Travis’ groomsmen were family and friends that have supported him all throughout his life, and have watched him become a Coloradoan while retaining his Pennsylvania roots. The thoughtful readings and lots laughter throughout the ceremony were the perfect way to celebrate the love that Lauren & Travis share for one another.
The cocktail hour was filled with horse shoes, drinks on the patio and breath taking views as the sun began to set. The reception included wonderful sweet treats made by family and friends and a surprise cake from Lauren’s mom, topped with Woody, Jessie & Bullseye from Toy Story. (Lauren & Travis had no idea they would be having a cake!) All of the toasts had people laughing and sharing a few tears… and of course there big smiles about the fact that dating the boss’ daughter actually worked out brilliantly for Travis! (Lauren’s Dad might of had a hand in Lauren meeting Travis at a company Christmas party!) To top off the evening, the dance floor was hopping with the great Vail Valley Band. It truly was a wonderful day from start to finish.
Lauren & Travis- I wish you all the happiness in your future together. It has been so wonderful getting to know you and I can’t wait to share more rides, hikes, and powder days in the future! Thank you for inviting me to be part of your wonderful wedding day! All the best, Rachel
