Slipped through
This fun family portrait session from last November slipped through the cracks and I never got around to posting it on the blog. This is Ali of Alison Rose Photography and her awesome family. Ali and I trade photo session every year so that we have some fresh images (with us in them!) for holiday cards. In doing so, we shoot for one another and then since we are both photographers we swap files and edit the images of ourselves. So, as the crazy pre-holiday rush hit- I forgot to even look at the images… Read More »
Flexibility and Grace
Part of the reason for my trip out East was to work with one of my dearest friends from college. She is an amazing Yoga instructor and Thai Yoga Massage therapist. She was in need of some updated photos for her new website. It was so fun to watch her in action. Her grace and flexibility are astounding. Thai Yoga Massage is amazing. It looks like a dance between two bodies. Stretching and sculpting the muscles as they go. And who wouldn’t want to take a yoga class from this beauty? It was a wonderful… Read More »
One more to celebrate!
This sweet family has one more to celebrate this holiday season. Their newest addition threatened to come early so we moved the maternity shoot up just in case…but low and behold she waited until the very end to make her arrival. What a gorgeous growing family. Enjoy this time to revel in the newborn-ness and the excitement of a two year old at Christmas. I hope that you all find time to revel in your families during this holiday season. I will be doing just that. Wishing you all the best.
Wrapping up!
It has been a whirlwind wrapping up 2009. What a fabulous year it has been. I have had the greatest privilege of working with the most wonderful families & brides & grooms this year. I am so grateful for each and everyone of you. As I am wrapping up 2009, I am finally catching up on a few sessions from last month. I am obviously drawn to black and white right now- maybe it’s the cold weather?
Thankful
Some people fill their hearts with thankfulness, joy and compassion and live their lives with that guiding them everyday. That is something I strive to do, but I am not sure there is another family that embodies that more than this incredible family. The Ohlins are about to embark on an amazing journey as a family that will take them to the other side of the world. I asked Carolyn to share a little bit about where they are headed and what they are doing. Here are the details. “The ministry we will be working… Read More »
Our trails meet
Some people walk into your life and you instantly know they were suppose to be there all along. That is how I feel about this awesome family. Thank you for inviting me to capture the love and warmth you share together.
Family Fun
I had the great privilege of shooting Steve’s family photos. What a darling family! Steve also photographed our family that morning…but due to one little 2 year old… things did not go as planned. I will be amazed Steve, if you were able to salvage anything due to your misbehaving clients!! Thanks for putting up with us! So, any of you out there that stress about your children acting poorly during the shoot, trust me, I get it.
Help Portrait
This is an amazing call to action being heard all around the world…so photographers out there, grab your camera and get involved. There is a wonderful group of crazy talented photographers here in Fort Collins heeding the call and banding together on December 12th to create portraits for those who usually do not get this privilege. So if you are out there and you are a photographer, make-up artist, hairstylist, cookie maker, great organizer… We need you. If you fall into any of these wonderful categories below (that was creatively put together by Sarah of… Read More »

Guitar Hero
I love how personalities shine when you bring favorite toys! Thank you so much for such a fun shoot. We were able to play around in Old Town Fort Collins, hit the train tracks and still jump into the park for some natural Colorado backgrounds! What an awesome family. Check out Suzanne’s fabulous blog The Concierge Mom and jump in on the conversation by leaving comments about your favorite books, toys, recipes, gift ideas… Thanks again for such a fun shoot!
