Just because it’s winter, that doesn’t mean you can’t get great outdoor portraits, especially here in Colorado! The key is to pick a place that has some non-deciduous trees or a great background to take away from the lack of green grass & leaves on the trees. Then you hope for one of Colorado’s wonderful 40-50 degree days full of sun. With that combo you can get a great day of winter portraits! (Or you can hope for a light snow or snow on the ground and that too can make for a perfect backdrop!) With… Read More »
I mean seriously…does it get any cuter? This family is so full of love and joy that it just radiates from them. I photographed this darling little lady even before she entered this world and I was lucky enough to meet her when she was just a little thing. Now she is full of personality and has some of the best cheeks I have ever seen! Here is her beautiful mama (braving the gale force winds for this fun shot!) before “J” arrived.
Boy did we see a change in weather from the first shoot to the second! We met on a gorgeous fall afternoon to do the origional shoot, but dad was stuck at work and couldn’t join us…so we set up the second shoot and wow how the weather had changed- cold and snowy. Both weather elements provided great backdrops for this gorgeous family.
We had a gorgeous fall evening to play in. And boy, don’t they look like they stepped right out of Mother Nature’s wand to fit perfectly into the fall landscape? Thank you for spending a wonderful evening with me.
What a fun day it was and what a whirlwind it was. It was my first day ever offering mini sessions… each family had a 20 minute session geared towards images for holiday cards/ updated family pictures. We lucked out with weather, as it had been threatening rain/snow…but sunny skies prevailed. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful group of people to spend the day with. Thank you for being such amazing souls with wonderful heartfelt love for one another. I think your love shows through in the images- even when you only had 20… Read More »
What a fun, gorgeous evening in Denver! And what a stunning family to spend the evening with! You may remember these cuties from a few years ago…wow how they have grown and they have gotten even cuter- which I didn’t think was possible! Here they are now… And here they are a few years ago… Thank you so much for inviting me to spend time with your wonderful family- I can’t wait to see how much bigger these cuties are at our next shoot! Cherish this time. Best, Rachel
I adore the warm sunlight and the expressions in the first few images…to me it sums up parenthood and the burning, intense love that you feel for your children. Thank you for inviting me to spend such a gorgeous fall afternoon with you, I love every minute I get to spend with you! This adorable little man is already taking after his (super fast) amazingly athletic parents. Little B kept looking up and saying “Run?” and we would run…and then he’d stop, look up and say “Run more?” and so we did. So much fun! Dad… Read More »

(I am a little bais because she is my beautiful niece…but ask anyone who knows her and they would agree!) Thank you so much for inviting me to share in this special time with you. We will miss you dearly next year- can it really already be next year? But we know that you will be off on wonderful adventures and we can’t wait to be there supporting you all… Read More »

Could it possibly have been another year? This amazing family is one of my favorites (because I am lucky enough to call Megh one of my besties!), but it is so hard for me to believe that another year has slipped by. Is that possible? Well, yes…in the chaos that is called “life”…I can see why a year slips by before our eyes, without us really noticing. Honestly, I think that is why I love photography so much. It forces me (us) to capture moments in the craziness of life, in order to document time… Read More »
