3 Gorgeous Kids

July 16, 2011 | Portraits

I had the great pleasure of spending a quick afternoon shoot with these gorgeous kids.  They needed some head-shots done so we ventured out to get that accomplished in between summer camp and volleyball practice. You three made my job easy…I think you have the knack of being in front of the camera down already!  Thanks for a fun afternoon! Best, Rachel

We found the smiles!

July 2, 2011 | Portraits

I love the unpredictability of one year olds. This little guy was not all too sure about getting his photo taken.  But he warmed up to me as the shoot went on, and I think we got some great shots of him after all!  Thank you so much for spending the afternoon with me.  It was a blast! (I loved making a fool of myself in order to get little “F” to smile- it made me laugh too!) This field was in full bloom thanks to the spring rain we have had. I love the the… Read More »

What a character!

April 18, 2011 | Portraits

I had the best time with this little man and his parents.  Not only is he darling but he has the best little personality! He decided that he didn’t want to take a nap on the day of the session- Murphy’s law, right?  Isn’t that always what happens?  But despite skipping nap- he rallied amazingly and hung in there through the whole shoot!  (I can’t guarantee my daughter would do that!) Thank you for spending a beautiful afternoon with me, it was such fun!  Best, Rachel

Change in weather

November 29, 2010 | Portraits

Boy did we see a change in weather from the first shoot to the second! We met on a gorgeous fall afternoon to do the origional shoot, but dad was stuck at work and couldn’t join us…so we set up the second shoot and wow how the weather had changed- cold and snowy. Both weather elements provided great backdrops for this gorgeous family.

A Fall Treat

November 23, 2010 | Portraits

We had a gorgeous fall evening to play in. And boy, don’t they look like they stepped right out of Mother Nature’s wand to fit perfectly into the fall landscape? Thank you for spending a wonderful evening with me.

Mini Sessions 2010

November 15, 2010 | Portraits

What a fun day it was and what a whirlwind it was. It was my first day ever offering mini sessions… each family had a 20 minute session geared towards images for holiday cards/ updated family pictures.  We lucked out with weather, as it had been threatening rain/snow…but sunny skies prevailed. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful group of people to spend the day with. Thank you for being such amazing souls with wonderful heartfelt love for one another. I think your love shows through in the images- even when you only had 20… Read More »

Circles

July 16, 2010 | Portraits

Life leads you in circles…many speak of the 6 degrees of separation- and if you know me well it seems to be about 3 degrees of separation most of the time- which is fabulous! I love how life is so interconnected. 2 years ago I walked into a birthday party for a then 2 year old… I looked up and said- John what are you doing here? He asked the same question of me. It is indeed a very small world! I have know John since I was about 5 years old. He was my… Read More »

Big Blues

July 13, 2010 | Portraits

Check out these big blues! I had a blast with this adorable family in City Park on a hot afternoon for our portrait session.  Thank you for sharing the afternoon with me and for acting like fools-jumping, singing, squeaking… to get little “C” to show his bright smile to the camera. (Oh the things we do- anyone watching us had a real show!)   Enjoy all of the marvelous moments with your sweet boy!   Best, Rachel
