Oh how I love newborn photography! They are just so cuddly and TINY! I had the great privilege of meeting little Andrew the other day, what a doll. I must be putting off a vibe that is keeping these darling babes awake because during the last two newborn sessions we tried all the tricks and the little ones just wanted to keep their eyes open and take in the world around them. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special time!
I said that I would throw in a personal story or two along the way and I have been remiss. Life gets going a warp speed during the summer with weddings and portrait sessions. Yet, I have been trying very hard amidst all of the fabulous work, to take time out, put it all away and enjoy our family and friends too. Because, really, what is life all about? There is nothing more important to me than our family and friends and the time we spend together! Here is just a tiny taste of our… Read More »
A little levity to get everyone through the busy wedding season. This made me smile…and well up with tears. The pure joy is so evident. What a fun unique celebration! Well done. I wish I was their photographer! Click here to watch JK Wedding Dance Entrance.

Thank you again and I can’t wait to meet her! P.S. Jackie happens the be the youngest of thirteen children- yes 13!!! Jackie-is this the beginning of another 13???
No other word describes the wedding I shot with Laura for the slideshow of all of the love, beauty and splendor that filled the day. Thank you for involving me in another spectacular wedding Laura!
I am so honored to be featured on the Learnfest Blog. These four women are amazing- Audrey Woulard, Tamara Lackey, Lena Hyde and Laura Novak! I learned so much at Learnfest and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone interested in children’s portraiture. Thank you for featuring me! Check it out here.
I had the great privilege of shooting with Laura of L’ amour de Vie again, this time at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. What an incredible venue for a wedding! Katie and Brian had a day bursting with love (despite a little rain). Their energy and enthusiasm was contagious. You can tell how in love they are just by watching them interact… it was darling! I think they both had smiles beaming ear to ear all day long.
There is nothing better than mixing work with pleasure. And truly… I feel as if I get to do that on a daily basis with this job; every shoot, every wedding has tons of pleasure built in. I guess that is what is so great about loving what you do! We spent a lovely weekend in Vail and I was able to squeeze in two shoots while we were there, as well as taking in a great road ride, the farmers market and the art fair! Vail is one of our favorite places to escape… Read More »
Here is another fabulous wedding that I shot with the wonderful Laura of L’amour de Vie last fall. It was such a gorgeous event filled with personal touches. The ceremony was held at a private home and was officiated by a good friend and the reception was held at the groom’s restaurant Modis in downtown Breckenridge, Colorado. It was a marvelous day filled with emotion and beauty. (By the way if you are in Breckenridge be sure to have dinner at Modis, the food was excellent!)
The afternoons have been hit or miss when it comes to sun the last few weeks. We were watching the weather closely…and got very lucky! We had the most gorgeous afternoon to head out into the Colorado sunshine. And I LOVE the sun kissed feel of these last images. Oh the evening light is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous family with me.
