With some families you instantly sense their awesome magnetism… I had the best afternoon running around in the Colorado State University Oval and in Old Town Fort Collins with this darling family. And what could be better than ending the session with the best icecream in town at the Walrus? Thank you for being so much fun to work with. I had a blast!
I have been working on a new website and it has finally gone live! Check it out and let me know what you think… www.rachelolsenphotography.com Soon there will be a third link on the right hand side of the splash page to a “mirrored” website that will be visible on iphones, ipads and mobile devices! Be sure to check that out when you are on the go. Best, Rachel P.S. Become a fan (aka “like”) on Facebook and be the first to see what is new at Rachel Olsen Photography!
I constantly think about how lucky I am to be doing something I love as a career. Part of what makes me so lucky is that I get to interact with the most amazing families and couples…they radiate with love. Everytime I finish a shoot I truly feel blessed to have been invited to share time with each and every one of them. This past Friday afternoon was no different. You may recognize this gorgeous family from our earlier indoor shoot. Finally the Colorado afternoon weather cleared and we were able to head outside and… Read More »
Little “C” is going to have a lot of keepin’ up to do with his two older siblings! I had the great joy of photographing this newborn a few days after his arrival into this world. He is well loved by big brother and sis (and Mom and Dad of course!). Thank you for inviting me into your moments and for letting me run around in the backyard with your sweeties. Enjoy this time with your newest addition. Congrats!!
Typically, I love being able to get outside and run around for family photography session but since it was pouring rain outside, we were forced to have an inside shoot…and it was so much fun! This darling family is so sweet and the kiddos are full of personality. Dad was being deployed again the next day (on a short training mission this time luckily) so I was so glad that we were able to get the session in while he was home. The littlest member of the family was intended to be star of this… Read More »
I had the great pleasure of photographing this beautiful Senior for an invitation to her Senior Violin Recital. Here are a few of my favorites. And here is what we came up with for the invite. Break a leg at the recital!
Before the spring storm set into Denver I was able to get in this incredibly fun children’s portrait session. Do they get any cuter than this? Look at these stunning blue eyes! We didn’t let this handsome fellow totally steel the show. His awesome, full of life, big sister got in on the photo fun as well. There is something I totally adore about 2 year olds. I love and cherish their fierce independence (even when my 2 year old is exerting hers). They have a style that is all their own AND they wear… Read More »
This fun family portrait session from last November slipped through the cracks and I never got around to posting it on the blog. This is Ali of Alison Rose Photography and her awesome family. Ali and I trade photo session every year so that we have some fresh images (with us in them!) for holiday cards. In doing so, we shoot for one another and then since we are both photographers we swap files and edit the images of ourselves. So, as the crazy pre-holiday rush hit- I forgot to even look at the images… Read More »
Part of the reason for my trip out East was to work with one of my dearest friends from college. She is an amazing Yoga instructor and Thai Yoga Massage therapist. She was in need of some updated photos for her new website. It was so fun to watch her in action. Her grace and flexibility are astounding. Thai Yoga Massage is amazing. It looks like a dance between two bodies. Stretching and sculpting the muscles as they go. And who wouldn’t want to take a yoga class from this beauty? It was a wonderful… Read More »
This sweet family has one more to celebrate this holiday season. Their newest addition threatened to come early so we moved the maternity shoot up just in case…but low and behold she waited until the very end to make her arrival. What a gorgeous growing family. Enjoy this time to revel in the newborn-ness and the excitement of a two year old at Christmas. I hope that you all find time to revel in your families during this holiday season. I will be doing just that. Wishing you all the best.
