Back To School
I was thrilled when Erin & Tricia of the awesome style & design blog Suburban Bitches asked me to do a styled “Back to School” fashion shoot. And I was even more excited when I was able to throw my kiddos into the mix (until the actual shoot, when of course my two “models” were the most challenging to work with!) I was amazed at how well all of the kids’ outfits coordinated, given that we did not discuss the colors or themes. Great minds think alike! A special thank you to Gallipot Salon for the… Read More »
Cropping Guide for Photographic Prints
I often get asked about cropping options when printing photos. It can be a bit confusing when you are trying to decide between a 5×7, 8×10, 8×12, etc.! So, here is a handy dandy guide to let you know how images come out of camera (full frame) and how different size prints end up cropping the image. Hopefully it is a clean and easy way for you to see how an image will be altered when printed in different sizes. Luckily my new (almost ready) proofing site will let you visualize the crop before submitting… Read More »
A new little babe
Its always a joy to do newborn sessions. I forget just how small they are, despite the fact I am only 2 years post having a little bundle of my own. I am so grateful to all of you who ask me into the special times in your life. It is a great honor to capture it all for you to remember long after the sleep deprived nights are over, and this newborn stage is a distant blur, as you are whirling through toddler-hood. Thank you for inviting me to photograph your darling family again…. Read More »
Fort Collins Christmas Lights
I thought this was a great post to use to wish all of you HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I wish you all the most relaxing Holiday Season…find time to step away from screens, cuddle the ones you love, create memories and reconnect to what really matters….that is what I plan on doing! I had the great pleasure of working with Mick at Fort Collins Christmas lights again this year. Their motto is wonderful and true- “Let us do the work, so you can enjoy the season!.” Mick and his team have installed our lights for the last… Read More »
Fort Collins Mini Sessions- Volume Five
Phew… what a great fall it was. Again, thank you to all of the families who took part in my Mini Portrait sessions. It is always so fun to catch up with you and to meet those who I have never met before. Here is the final batch, from the afternoon that got rained out… I hope that all of you have a terrific holiday season! And a couple more film shots to round out the mini sessions!
Fort Collins Mini Sessions – Volume Four
An additional morning of mini sessions was added when the first three dates filled up so fast. I snuck in a few extra sessions to capture these great families.
Fort Collins Mini Session – Volume Three
Today’s weather held out for half of the day… and allowed for some beautiful diffuse light (not always typical for Colorado). Thanks to all of these wonderful families for braving the weather!
Fort Collins Mini Sessions – Volume Two
Another stellar day in the fields of Fort Collins with these spectacular families.
Fort Collins Mini Sessions – Volume One
This year I did three days of mini sessions in Fort Collins (that turned into 5 with some weather delays). I had wonderful families to work with which made my job so much fun! Thank you to all of those who travelled from Cheyenne, Denver, Broomfield and Loveland to take part in the mini sessions. Check out this gorgeous group of families.
Denver & Boulder Mini Sessions 2013
Well, it has taken me slightly longer than expected to get through my fall editing (I bit off more than I expected) but luckily I had wonderful faces smiling at me everytime I sat down to my computer! Thank you to all of the families (45!) that joined in the Mini Session fun this season! I had new clients that I met for the first time this year, former brides and grooms from years past, and portrait clients I have been photographing every year since I “opened my doors.” I am so grateful that… Read More »
