Lillee & Shawn- Newagen Inn Wedding, Maine

October 5, 2011 | Weddings

Oh where do I begin?  This wedding was an unbelievable treat and honor to photograph. When one of your dearest friends asks you to photograph their wedding a mix of emotions floods over you.  (At least for me)  I was filled with excitement but I felt a lot of pressure too.  I wanted to capture everything.  Every moment. Every ounce of excitement. Every meaningful detail.  I put a lot of pressure on myself, and since it was a destination wedding I was shooting solo, so that also added to my nerves- I kept thinking will… Read More »

Pam & Brock- Engagement Session CSU campus

September 30, 2011 | Weddings

I had a wonderful evening with Pam & Brock and their darling dog Meatball on the CSU campus.  Even though I am a Buff (sorry Rams!)- it’s always fun to get out on a college campus and explore.  CSU’s oval is a gorgeous place and we had a great time running up and down the sidewalk with Meatball in tow. Congratulations you two!  I wish you tons of happiness with all the fun changes coming your way- graduation, applications to law school, a potential move, and a wonderful marriage!  All the best, Rachel

Anne & Adam- Engagement Session in Boulder

September 20, 2011 | Weddings

I had the best evening with Anne & Adam- despite the amazing amount of mosquitoes attacking us!  We all braved it and laughed our way through the session as Anne would swat Adam to get the mosquitoes off. Anne and Adam showed up well prepared- fantastic!  They had thier tree stump in hand (literally at times for Adam as he hauled it around for us) and their clothes ready to go.  I absolutely love it when couples get into the “style” of their session. Anne and Adam will be getting married next summer up in Grand Lake- I can’t… Read More »

From the first time I spoke to Aly on the phone, I knew that I was going to love working with her.  And then when I had the opportunity to mett Aly and Matt in person when they came out last winter to finalize their wedding plans…I couldn’t wait for their big day!  The two of them are so fun to be around.  They are wonderful people with hearts of gold, and you get that sense immediately.  I was so excited for their wedding this summer in Breckenridge. Recently I had the great pleasure of photographing Sarah & Dan’s wonderful Denver wedding. Some fun surprises were thrown in by Sarah’s family- like her sister’s tear and laughter inducing… Read More »

Corina & Amos – Redstone Inn Wedding

July 4, 2011 | Weddings

I was lucky enough to second shoot Corina and Amos’s wedding at the Redstone Inn with Julie Afflerbaugh last summer.  I have to admit it may be one of my favorite weddings I have ever been a witness to.  Corina and Amos are so authentic and their wedding was a true celebration of the two of them.  Friends and family helped with all sorts of DIY touches- her sister did the flowers, her friends made the cake, their friends were in the band, Amos had special Nikes designed for his groomsmen, the beer was brewed at a close friend’s… Read More »

Angel & Patrick- Denver Art Museum Wedding

June 21, 2011 | Weddings

I had the wonderful privilege of shooting with Julie Afflerbaugh twice last summer.  Working with Julie is so much fun, our styles and personalities mesh so well.  (And I obviously love her photography- that’s who I have shoot our family!) Angel and Patrick’s wedding reception at the Denver Art Museum was like stepping into a corner of an Anthropologie store. That is the look Angel was going for- and I think she accomplished it!  I love all of the little details: the pin on her bouquet, her umbrella, the bird houses, the branches and birds as center pieces,… Read More »
