Featured Family Photographer- Family Picture Ideas Headquarters

I was very honored to be contacted by Jacqui from Family Picture Ideas Headquarters about a featured post about Life with Baby.  She chose my chilly late fall evening shoot in Denver with Kelley & Jason and their beautiful family. Go check it out here!

This was my brief description of the shoot…

Three years ago, I had the privileged of photographing Kelley & Jason’s beautiful wedding in Telluride, Colorado. Since then they have added to their beautiful family. This past fall, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet up with Kelley and Jason and their newest addition, a sweet baby girl.  It was so much fun to catch up with the older kiddos again and meet their new little one. One of the favorite parts of my job is watching families grow. Kelley is an amazing photographer herself…so she takes lots of fabulous photos of her brood…but she needed to be in some herself (I know that struggle all too well). So once their sweat pea was awake, we bundled up and headed out to the park to get some photos of all of them together. Boy was there ever a chill in the air for our shoot…yet we braved it! We focused on the the interactions between the family members and played in the natural Colorado grasses as the sun set. To round out the shoot we hurried to the top of the hill to get one last family shot before the sun dipped behind the mountains. ~Photographer Rachel Olsen
