Laurie & Jeff had a beautiful, fun filled mountain wedding at Sevens in Breckenridge, and I am so thankful they chose me to photograph it. Laurie and Jeff, you have been so fun to work with, thank you… and Laurie I will never forget your wonderful smile and great laugh…it is contagious.
Their day started with the fun getting ready festivities at the Crystal Peak Lodge nestled at the base of Peak 7 in Breckenridge. Then we set up a great first look location in the forest nearby, and luckily all of Laurie and Jeff’s family were true sports and tromped through the woods to do the family formals there as well…you guys were amazing! The rest of the day went off without a hitch as they had a beautiful heartfelt ceremony by Leslie Ross on the deck at Sevens which was decorated in beautiful flowers by Petal and Bean. And following their ceremony the party continued when they went into the restaurant at Sevens for a great meal and lots of dancing and festivities, including an incredible photo booth by Snowflake Photo Booth and amazing tunes by Erik at A Greatime DJ, and let’s not forget the delicious cake by Blue Moon Bakery, and as always the staff at Sevens did a brilliant job serving delicious food, and creating a wonderful atmosphere.
There were so many great moments of joy and laughter throughout the day…but I have to point out one of my favorites. We all know how unpredictable flowers girls (especially young ones) can be. Well, when Dad saw that the flower girl was not interested in going down the aisle by herself, and that she was about to fall into a ball of tears, he swooped her up, put her wreath on his head (as she refused to wear it) and he threw her flowers as he carried her down the aisle. It was the perfect impromptu move and had everyone laughing. He took what could have been a jarring moment and turned it into lots of fun. I give you huge kudos for that, it was wonderful!
Thank you for inviting me to part of your wonderful day. I wish you two all the happiness. Best, Rachel
And Enzo, how can I not mention Enzo? You can not NOT immediately fall in love with their dog Enzo. He made his guest appearance after the ceremony and won the hearts of all of us. And here you can see (crazy) me, dog wrangling as we walked into the woods… he did almost hop the gondola and take off, but luckily we caught him before his escape!
And as always, a GIANT thank you to my second shooter Steve Glass… thanks for your amazing work! Here is the silly photo team in the photobooth…
Beautiful as always Rachel and Steve!!! Miss you!
